A weighted vest can add resistance to an indoor cycling session, but more weight isn't necessarily better. Proper form, gradual progression, warm-ups, cool-downs, hydration, and listening to your body are all important.
In my latest post, I share some practical guidelines, including recommended vest-weight ranges, ways to progress gradually, and the safety considerations I keep in mind.
I also share how stationary cycling fits into my larger weekly exercise routine, which includes rucking, squats, core exercises, deep breathing, and stair climbing.
If you're looking for another way to add variety to your fitness routine after 50, take a look at the full post.
